Arrive

For guests who are flying, we recommend San Francisco International (1¼ hours) or Oakland International (1 hour). We suggest renting a car to get up to wine country.

Stay

For Bay Area locals, we suggest staying at least Saturday night, since we're having an early ceremony Sunday.

We reserved a small room block at The Lodge at Sonoma, which is the location of the welcome dinner, as well as where we'll be staying:

There are many other great hotels! Sonoma County is very large, so if you stay elsewhere, look in the town of Sonoma. The city of Santa Rosa is a bit further (but still doable). Here are some alternatives:

We're expecting a pleasant weekend of warm, dry weather.

Welcome Dinner

Join us for cocktails, followed by a plated dinner. We'll be outside on the patio (with heat lamps), so we suggest bringing a light jacket.

Ceremony

We have planned a ceremony by the vineyard, followed by chilled wines and a lunch reception. The venue is twenty minutes north of town.

We suggest bringing sunglasses and your favorite summer accessories, as we'll be outdoors (in the shade).

P.S. Your presence is the gift we want most -- no other gifts are needed.

Enjoying the Area

We love Northern California. If you choose to spend some extra time seeing the region, here are some of our top suggestions.

Wine country: Our wedding is in the town of Sonoma, but Petaluma and Healdsburg are other cute towns in Sonoma County. (Or you could visit Napa, a short drive across the county line.)

San Francisco: the best parts of SF are the neighborhoods; we suggest staying in Japantown, and seeing the Northwest part of the city.
